Cognitive
games provide experience with puzzles, go-together, shapes, colors, and
numbers which strengthen young minds and make them work.
The
manipulate table provides experiences needed to improve fine motor
coordination. Sewing, stringing, pegboards, Leggo's, and Mr. Potato Heads
provide practice in this area.
Play
dough is a soothing manipulative which strengthens hands and fingers getting
them ready to cut and write.
These
learning experience combine scientific and mathematical concepts. It is
important that children be exposed to concrete experiences and
this contribution to their growing perceptual development will add a good
solid base for later cognitive learning.
